The Fordham Veterans Association and the Department of Communication and Media Studies presents “Almost Sunrise”

Almost Sunrise is the first film to introduce the emerging term “moral injury,” sparking a national conversation, connecting communities, spotlighting alternative modalities for healing, offering hopeful solutions for PTSD, moral injury, and breaking the stigma around mental health.

The event will host the filmmaker Michael Collins and Iraq veteran Tom Voss, as well as Leslye Moore, National Director of Welcome Home Troops and is also featured in the film. Following the film viewing, there will be a panel discussion with Micheal, Tom, and Leslye; and Fordham student veterans. The panel will address topics such as moral injury, post-traumatic stress, and military-to-civilian transition.

Coffee, tea, and soda will be served; this event is free and open to all interested (no affiliation to Fordham University necessary).
