Race Issues and Education in America

Thursday, February 11, 2021
12:30 – 1:30 p.m.

The COVID-19 pandemic, the murder of George Floyd, and the current politically charged climate have shed light on the impact of systemic racism in our society’s structures. Massive uprisings reveal the urgency for centering racial equity in America’s civic life. We want to invite you to the first webinar of the series Racial Equity and Interfaith Cooperation, which will discuss policies around education, health care, and more.

During the civil rights era, faith-led demonstrations and interfaith leaders came together to advocate against racial segregation and oppression. Today, access to technology, textbooks, and other essential materials needed for teaching and learning still seems to be a constant challenge for most minority families and communities. The Institute on Religion, Law and Lawyer’s Work at Fordham Law School, with the support of Interfaith Youth Core, invite you to a webinar event themed on race issues and education in America.
