Join us for our annual endowed lecture in memory of Fordham Theology alumnus Prof. Julio Burunat. This year’s lecture, by Patrick Hornbeck, chair of the Theology Department, will trace the key events of the reign of Pope Francis, asking how best we can understand this most interesting and controversial of recent pontiffs. Hornbeck served as commentator for a national news network during the Pope’s visit to the United States in 2015 and will share reflections on covering the Pope close up as well as understanding key papal texts such as Evangelii gaudium, Laudato si’, and Amoris laetitia.
