WFUV Anchor Selected for National Radio Project

Jonathan Vigliotti (FCRH ’05), a reporter and anchor at WFUV, 90.7 FM (www.WFUV.org), the National Public Radio (NPR) Affiliate on the Rose Hill campus, was one of just five students nationwide selected to participate in the Next Generation Project. Sponsored by NPR and Collegiate Broadcasters, Inc. (CBI), the project is designed to train college students for careers in radio broadcasting.

Vigliotti attended a boot camp training session Nov. 3 through 6 during the National Student Media Convention in Nashville, Tenn. During the conference, Vigliotti worked with professional journalists to report on the conference itself and other issues. His reports were aired on NPR’s next generation website,www.npr.org/nextgen, and on the CBI website, www.collegebroadcasters.org.
