VIDEO: Undergraduate Research Grows Among Disciplines

On April 17, some 350 Fordham undergraduates participated, along with faculty, in the Sixth Annual Undergraduate Research Symposium at Fordham College at Rose Hill. Projects ranged from the interpretation of Egyptian hieroglyphics in the study of anthropology to calculating minimal energy shapes of fusion pores in mathematics.

The daylong event was sponsored by the Office of the Dean of Fordham College at Rose Hill. Faculty mentor awards went to Evon Hekkala, Ph.D., assistant professor of biology, Suzanne Hafner, Ph.D., assistant professor of modern languages and literatures, and Melissa Labonte, Ph.D. assistant professor of political science.
