Transportation Arteries Ease For Commuting Students

Bridges and roadways out of the New York City area are beginning to open. Commuting students from the Rose Hill campus are encouraged to head home if they live north of the Rose Hill campus or in the direction of Queens. The University will accommodate any commuting student over night who has trouble getting home. Please seek help at the information desk in the MCGinley Center. Following are current roadway openings Whitestone and Throggs Neck Bridges to Queens are now open Tri-Borough Bridge to Queens ONLY George Washington Bridge outbound to New Jersey has been opened Tappan Zee Bridge is open. Area hospitals and emergency services are in urgent need of blood donations. A blood drive will be held on the Rose Hill campus tomorrow, September 12, 2001, in Millennium Hall from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
