0

Oct. 30 — In their winning game against Yale on Oct. 19, the Fordham Rams closed out their non-conference season with a perfect 6-0 record, the most non-conference wins ever for Fordham and the first undefeated non-conference season since the 1988 squad went 5-0. As of press time, the Rams were 8-0 overall, awaiting a Nov. 2 home game against Holy Cross.

On Oct. 21, Fordham University junior wide receiver Sam Ajala (pictured at right) received triple honors, being named the Patriot League as Offensive Player of the Week, the College Sports Madness national offensive player of the week, and the College Football Performance Awards (CFPA) national wide receiver performer of the week. Ajala hauled in 10 passes for a school-record 282 yards and four touchdowns (which tied a school record.)
