Charles C. Camosy, Ph.D., A&S,
assistant professor of theology, was on the Health Care Ethics interest group panel discussing a newly-released edition of On Moral Medicine, a textbook in theological bioethics. Also, his book, Peter Singer and Christian Ethics: Beyond Polarization (Cambridge University Press, 2012), was featured at one of the “breakfast with an author” sessions at the Society of Christian Ethics in Seattle from Jan. 9 to 12.

professor of English, published Reading and Writing at the Dissolution: Monks, Friars, and Nuns 1530-1558 (Cambridge University Press, 2013).

J. Patrick Hornbeck, Ph.D., A&S,
associate professor of theology, published “Deconversion: What, Who, Why, How?” in Horizons, The Journal of the College Theology Society.

Sertan Kabadayi, Ph.D., BUS,
associate professor of marketing, and Yuliya A. Komarova, Ph.D., BUS, assistant professor of marketing, won the Highly Commended Award from The Journal of Service Management for their article, “Understanding Generation Y and Their Use of Social Media: A Review and Research Agenda.”

Joseph T. Lienhard, S.J., A&S,
professor of theology, published “Sacramentum and the Eucharist in St. Augustine,” in The Thomist 77.

Kathryn Reklis, Ph.D., A&S,
assistant professor of theology, was an invited speaker on a keynote panel, “Religion & Digital Media: Scholarship, Journalism, and The Spaces In Between,” at the conference, Media and Religion: the Global View, sponsored by the Center for Media and Religion and the University of Colorado, Boulder.

Thierry Rigogne, Ph.D., A&S,
associate professor of history, presented two papers at the annual meeting of the American Historical Association in Washington, DC: “The Café as Information Exchange: Coffeehouses at the Heart of the Communication System in Eighteenth-century Paris” on Jan. 2, and “Myth and the Early History of the French Café” on Jan. 3.

Hrishikesh D. Vinod, Ph.D., A&S,
professor of economics and director of the Institute for Ethics and Economic Policy, gave an invited keynote presentation, “Hindu Economics: What is it and Why Should We Care?,” at the International Conference on Economic and Business Issues in India on Dec. 19 and 20.

Suzanne Yeager, Ph.D., A&S,
professor of English, has published a chapter in A Companion to English Literature (Wiley, 2014), entitled “Racial Imagination and the Theatre of War: Captivity and Execution in Richard, Coer de Lion.”
