MIichael Eric Dyson To Lecture At Fordham

Renowned scholar and author Michael Eric Dyson will explore race, democracy and the struggle for economic justice in his lecture on the legacy of Martin Luther King Jr. on Wednesday, Nov. 8, at 4 p.m. in the McGinley Center Ballroom, Rose Hill campus, Bronx, N.Y. A well-known cultural critic, theologian and historian, Dyson is the Ida V. Wells Professor at DePaul University. He has written on subjects ranging from Martin Luther King Jr. and Malcolm X to Michael Jordan and gangster rap. Dyson’s recent book, I May Not Get There With You: The True Martin Luther King Jr., explores the complexities of King, whose work was far from finished or totally understood at the time of his death.
