COVID-19 Update | Five Things, April 21, 2021

0

From the Office of the Vice President for Administration:

Dear Members of the Campus Community:

Here are this week’s five things you need to know about Fordham’s COVID-19 precautions, vaccinations, and University operations:

  • In the last 14 days 35 people in the University community tested positive for COVID-19, an overall on-ground positivity rate of 0.48%, as listed on the University dashboard.
  • University policy requires that all students be vaccinated by the opening of the fall semester, and it is the University’s strong expectation that all faculty, staff, and administrators likewise be fully vaccinated on or before the beginning of the fall term.
  • Walk-in vaccinations are available at Rose Hill for any member of the University community tomorrow, Thursday, May 22, in the Engineering Office in the rear of O’Hare Hall, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. You may also register here: https://www.fordham.edu/info/30444/covid-19_testing_and_vaccine_resources
  • The vaccines have been tested extensively and are safe and effective. Here are the Center for Disease Control’s key things to know about COVID-19 vaccinations: https://www.cdc.gov/coronavirus/2019-ncov/vaccines/keythingstoknow.html
  • If you have questions about the safety of COVID-19 vaccines, please speak to your physician: they understand the vaccination research and protocols and know your medical history.

You are required to use VitalCheck to verify your COVID-19 status. For more information, please see the COVID-19 Guidelines on the web.
