Despite a flurry of year-round research activity, the Louis Calder Center biological field station remains a quiet oasis. The University’s student-researchers are welcomed at the center to study on the grounds, or in the Calder Hall mansion’s library. The labs are home to a number of faculty-mentored student projects. Metro North drops at the North White Plains station, where a Ram Van picks up to transport the rest of the way to the 113-acre preserve.
