The Fordham Law Alumni Association has selected alumna Margaret Hill and alumnus Denis Cronin (LAW ’72), as the 2007 recipients of the Association’s Medal of Achievement, the highest honor given by Fordham University School of Law to its alumni.
“Peggy Hill and Denis Cronin are two of Fordham Law’s truly exceptional alumni,” said William Treanor, J.D., dean of Fordham Law School. “They both have been tremendously successful in their careers, but have also given back, both to the community and to the Law School. I’m thrilled we can honor their dedication and excellence with this award.”
Hill is a theatrical producer whose production of Frozen won a Tony Award in 2004. She also has been involved in charitable work, co-founding Angela’s House, a home for mothers with infant children. Cronin is a founding partner of Cronin & Vris, LLP, a boutique bankruptcy firm in New York. Before starting Cronin & Vris, he worked for 15 years as a partner at Wachtel, Lipton Rosen & Katz, where he was managing partner.
The Medal of Achievement, given annually to Fordham alumni who exemplify the outstanding qualities of a career lived in the service of others, will be presented to Cronin and Hill at the Association’s annual luncheon in March.
