Law Professors Recognized for Top 10 Articles

Two articles written by Fordham University School of Law professors have been selected as among the 10 best corporate and securities articles of 2006.

Jill E. Fisch, J.D., T.J. Maloney Professor in Business Law and director of the Fordham Center for Corporate, Securities & Financial Law, was recognized for her article, “Do Institutions Matter? The Impact of the Lead Plaintiff Provision of the Private Securities Litigation Reform Act,” published in the Washington University Law Quarterly. Richard Squire, J.D., associate professor of law, was honored for his article, “Law and the Rise of the Firm,” published in the Harvard Law Review.

“Fordham Law has one of the top business law programs in the country,” said William M. Treanor, dean of Fordham Law School. “This award recognizes the important work of two exciting and dedicated scholars on our faculty.”

The articles, which will be published in the forthcoming book, Corporate Practice Commentator, were selected by professors of corporate and securities law.
