Advisory: Fordham and BC to Examine ’04 Election Issues

NEW YORK—Professors from Fordham University and Boston College will discuss the biggest domestic and international issues of the 2004 presidential campaign, including the war in Iraq, the economy and the impact of the media’s coverage of the campaigns, during a special forum onTuesday, Oct. 26, from 6:30 p.m. to 9 p.m., in the McNally Amphitheatre at Fordham Law School, 140 W. 62nd St. During one of the most contentious presidential campaigns in U.S. history, the panelists will dissect the issues to provide a better understanding of the realities facing this country.

The discussion will feature commentary from Fordham’s Paul Levinson, Ph.D., professor of communications and chair of the Department of Communication and Media Studies, and Thomas Lee, J.D., an associate professor of constitutional and international law, and Boston College’s Robert G. Murphy, Ph.D., an associate professor of economics, and R. Shep Melnick, Ph.D., the Thomas P. O’Neill Jr. Professor of American Politics.

The Fordham University and Boston College Offices of Alumni Relations are sponsoring the event.
