professor of physics, published the article “Fusion Power: Nuclear Energy for the Future” in the magazine Energy & Power. He was also the keynote speaker at a seminar, “Gravitational Waves – 100 Years In The Making” held at the Independent University Bangladesh in Bashundhara, Dhaka, on May 25, 2016.

Janna C. Heyman, PhD, GSS,
chair of the Henry C. Ravazzin Center and professor of social work, was named a Gerontological Society of America Fellow for 2016 in the behavioral and social sciences section.

Rita Houston, WFUV,
program director of WFUV Radio, was named one of the top 25 rock radio programmers by Billboard on May 11, 2016.

John Ryle Kezel, PhD, ADM,
university director of the Office of Prestigious Fellowships, delivered a lecture entitled “Dorothy L. Sayers’ Gaudy Night: The Work of an Inkling?” at The New York C.S. Lewis Society on May 13, 2016.

John D. Lawry, PhD, A&S,
professor emeritus of psychology, published the article “Caring Still Matters” in the February 2016 issue of Conversations on Jesuit Higher Education.

Allan Luks, GSS,
director of the Fordham Center for Nonprofit Leaders, will be an honoree at the PIFA (Pay It Forward Ambassador) Awards 2016 for his accomplishments in the nonprofit sector.

Tina Maschi, PhD, GSS,
associate professor of social work, was ranked one of the top 30 scholars in the social work profession in the research article “High-Impact Social Work Scholars: A Bibliometric Examination of SSWR and AASWSW Fellows,” published in Research on Social Work Practice on May 11, 2016. She also published “‘Coming Out’ of Prison: An Exploratory Study of LGBT Elders in the Criminal Justice System” in the May 2016 issue of the Journal Of Homosexuality.

Mark Naison, PhD, A&S,
professor of African and African American Studies and history, and principal investigator of the Bronx African American History Project (BAAHP), was the guest speaker at the Irish Business Organization Business Networking Breakfast on May 17, 2016.

Alex Novikoff, PhD, A&S,
assistant professor of history, was named a Fall 2016 Class of Berlin Prize Fellow from the American Academy in Berlin.

Angela Alaimo O’Donnell, A&S,
associate director for the Curran Center for American Catholic Studies, has won first place in the category of biography for the 2016 Association of Catholic Presses Excellence in Publishing Awards for Flannery O’Connor: Fiction Fired by Faith (Liturgical Press 2015).

associate dean and director of Executive Programs, published the article “The Road to the EMBA” in the Spring 2016 issue of CEO Magazine.
