assistant professor of clinical psychology, co-authored an article titled “Liver and Combined Lung and Liver Transplantation for Cystic Fibrosis: Analysis of the UNOS Database” that appeared in the Jan. 2011 issue of Pediatric Transplantation.

Gloria Durka, Ph.D., GRE,
director of the doctoral program in religious education, recently published “Through the Looking Glass: A U.S. Roman Catholic View of Inter-Religious Education and Dialogue, in THEOFORUM(Continuation of Eglise et Theologie).

James T. Fisher, Ph.D., A&S,
professor of theology, co-edited The Catholic Studies Reader (Fordham University Press, 2011).

Colin Harvey, Ph.D., LAW,
visiting professor of law from the Queen’s University in Belfast, was the commissioner on the Northern Ireland Human Rights Commission and centrally involved in finalizing the draft advice on a Bill of Rights for Northern Ireland as part of the peace process.

Bradford E. Hinze, Ph.D., A&S,
professor of theology, delivered a keynote address titled “Spirits: Occultism, Principalities and Powers” on March 24 at the 14th Spiritan International School of Theology Missiological Symposium in Attakwu-Enugu, Nigeria.

Margo A. Jackson, Ph.D., GSE,
associate professor of counseling psychology, published “Multicultural Career Case Conceptualization Role Plays: Exploring Hidden Biases Through Reflections, Video-recording, and Small Group Processing,” in Experiential Activities for Teaching Multicultural Counseling Classes and Infusing Cultural Diversity into Core Classes (American Counseling Association, 2011).

Joseph T. Leinhard, S.J., A&S,
professor of theology, gave a lecture titled “Pope Benedict XVI: Theologian of the Bible” on March 30 at Franciscan University.

Jason Morris, Ph.D., A&S,
associate professor of biology, gave a lecture titled “Genotypic and Phenotypic Characterization of the Drosophila Mutant, Fried,” in March at the 51st Annual Drosophila Research Conference in San Diego.

Astrid M. O’Brien, Ph.D., A&S,
associate professor of philosophy, published A Mysticism of Kindness: The Biography of “Lucie Christine” (University of Scranton Press, 2010).

Patrick J. Ryan, S.J., A&S,
the Laurence J. McGinley Professor of Religion and Society, delivered a lecture titled “The Trinity and the Basmalah: A Brief Reflection,” on March 10 at the Theologies of God and Islam Conference at Oxford University. He led a Fordham alumni retreat during the weekend of March 25-27 at the St. Ignatius Jesuit Retreat House at Inisifada.

Sandra Sherman, Ph.D., LAW,
assistant director of the Fordham Intellectual Property Law Institute, gave a lecture titled “A Pedagogic Revolution: Early English Culinary Texts and the Common Reader” on March 10 at the Eisenberg Institute for Historical Studies at the University of Michigan. She conducted a workshop for faculty and graduate students on March 11 titled “Marketing Self-Help: Print Culture, Capitalism and Commodification.” On March 31, she delivered the keynote address on “What Food History Teaches Us About Us” at Newman University’s annual literary festival in Wichita, Kan.

John Shon, Ph.D., BUS,
assistant professor of accounting, published Trading on Corporate Earnings News: Profiting from Targeted Short-Term Options Positions (FT Press, 2011).

Lance Strate, Ph.D., A&S,
professor of communication and media studies, gave a keynote address titled “The Fall of Nations: The Fate of Social Systems in the New Media Environment” in March at the Communication Makes the Nation conference at the University of Bologna. He gave a lecture titled “Spirituality at the Speed of Light” at the annual meeting of the Friends of the Institute of Noetic Sciences, held at St. Catherine of Siena Church in Manhattan.

Maureen A. Tilley, Ph.D., A&S,
visiting professor of theology, presented on the topic “Desert Mothers” for the Lenten Retreat Series on April 2 at the Church of St. Paul the Apostle in New York City.

Akane Zusho, Ph.D., GSE,
associate professor of school psychology, published an article titled “Personal and Contextual Determinants of Ethnically Diverse Female High School Students’ Patterns of Academic Help Seeking and Help Avoidance in English and Mathematics” in Contemporary Educational Psychology.
