Jeffrey E. Cohen, Ph.D., A&S,
professor of political science, was elected secretary and treasurer of the Presidency Research Group of the American Political Science Association at the organization’s convention in August.

Elaine Congress, D.S.W., GSS,
associate dean and professor of social work, chaired a session at the 60th Annual Department of Public Information/Non-Governmental Organization conference at the United Nations on “Climate Change and its Impact on Migration” on Sept. 6.

Katherine S. Egan, IT,
director of strategy and planning, has been promoted to executive director of Fordham IT’s Strategic Program Office.

Albert N. Greco, Ed.D., BUS,
professor of communication and media management, along with Robert M. Wharton, Ph.D., BUS, professor and area chair of management systems, supplied statistics to the National Endowment for the Arts (NEA) in its study on reading and book buying. The NEA report will be published in the fall.

Kathleen P. King, Ed.D., GSE,
professor of adult education and human resource development, produced the 100th program ofPodcast For Teachers in August 2007, a show King co-produces with Mark Gura, coordinator of RETC outreach programs.

Lauren H. Mounty, Ph.D., GBA,
associate dean for academic programs, delivered a presentation at the Graduate Management Admission Council Annual Meeting in June on “Recruiting MBA Candidates in China.”

Janet K. Ruffing, R.S.M., Ph.D., GRE,
professor of spirituality and spiritual direction, presented workshops on “Love Mysticism and Spiritual Direction,” at the Christian Spiritual Directors’ conferences in Sydney, Australia, and Wellington, New Zealand, in July. She also presented a workshop for alumni of the Australian Catholic University in Canberra on “Sexuality and Spiritual Direction” in July.

Patrick Socci, Ph.D., BUS,
associate professor of information systems and director of undergraduate program in management of information and communication systems, has been named an associate dean of CBA.
