George Demacopoulos, Ph.D., ARTS AND SCIENCES,
professor of theology, Fr. John Meyendorff & Patterson Family Chair of Orthodox Christian Studies and co-director of the Orthodox Christian Studies Center, has helped secure two grants, totaling $610,000, for the Orthodox Christian Studies Center. The grants will be used to fund a multiyear research project devoted toward the issue of human rights.

adjunct assistant professor of physics and engineering physics, recently co-authored “Dynamical properties of magnetized two-dimensional one-component plasma” which was published in Physics Letters A.

Vassilios Fessatidis,Ph.D., ARTS AND SCIENCES,
professor of physics, recently co-authored “Dynamical properties of magnetized two-dimensional one-component plasma” which was published in Physics Letters A.

Samantha Iyer, Ph.D., ARTS AND SCIENCES,
assistant professor of history, has been chosen to be a part of the 2018 fellowship program at The American Council of Learned Societies. Her project is Agricultural Superpower: The Politics of Food in India, Egypt, and the United States, 1870s-1970s.

Elizabeth Johnson, Ph.D., ARTS AND SCIENCES,
distinguished professor of theology, published an essay, “The Mighty from Their Thrones,” in Advancing Mariology: The Theotokos Lectures 2008-2017 .

Aristotle Papanikolaou, Ph.D., ARTS AND SCIENCES,
professor of theology, Archbishop Demetrios Chair in Orthodox Theology and Culture, and co-director of the Orthodox Christian Studies Center, has helped secure two grants, totaling $610,000, for the Orthodox Christian Studies Center. The grants will be used to fund a multiyear research project devoted toward the issue of human rights.

Kathryn Reklis, Ph.D., ARTS AND SCIENCES,
assistant professor of theology, was awarded a grant from the Henry Luce Foundation.
