Kevin T. Jackson, Ph.D., BUS,
professor of business ethics, published Virtuosity in Business: Invisible Law Guiding the Invisible Hand (University of Pennsylvania Press, 2012).

James Lewis, Ph.D., A&S,
professor of plant ecology, Magis Fellow and chair of the department, gave a talk, “OOS 50-5 – Rising CO2 Shifts the Balance Between Carbon and Nutrient Limitation of Growth,” at the Portland Ecological Society of America 2012 97th Annual Meeting on August 10.

Monica Rivera Mindt, Ph.D., A&S,
associate professor of psychology, was awarded a fellowship at the American Psychological Association (APA) for her unusual and outstanding contributions to her specialty at the 120th APA meeting in August.

Philip M. Napoli, Ph.D., BUS,
professor of communication and media management and director of the Donald McGannon Communication Research Center, delivered a presentation, “Measuring New Audiences,” at the UPA Summit on Communications and Advertising in Milan, Italy in July. He also delivered a presentation on social TV analytics at the AdMonsters OPS TV Conference in New York in July.

Nicholas Paul, Ph.D., A&S,
assistant professor of history, delivered lectures at the University of Girona in Spain. He also co-edited Remembering the Crusades: Myth, Image, and Identity (Rethinking Theory) (The Johns Hopkins University Press, 2012).

Erick W. Rengifo, Ph.D., A&S,
assistant professor of economics and founder and director of the Center for International Policy Studies (CIPS), co-authored “The Impact of Deposit Dollarization on Financial Deepening” in theJournal of Emerging Markets Finance and Trade.

Christopher Rodgers, ADM,
dean of students at Fordham College at Rose Hill, presented “Student Services and Mental Health Services: Collaboration to Prevent, Manage and Mitigate Consequences of Campus Violence” at the John Jay International Conference on Global Perspectives on Justice, Security and Human Rights on June 7.

Harold Takooshian, Ph.D., A&S,
professor of psychology, lectured on social psychology and urban studies at the Higher School of Economics (HSE). He also spoke about resources for international student research at HSE Socio-Cultural Research Laboratory; innovations in higher education, and promoting student excellence at People’s Friendship University of Russia; and advances in I-O psychology at the Russian Academy of Sciences in Moscow in June.
