director of career services and adjunct professor in the Fordham College of Liberal Studies, is the author of “Career Services in a Postmodern World,” which appeared in Bridges, the Eastern Association of Colleges and Employers’ publication. The article details an employer-partnership program within Fordham Career Services.

associate professor of English and director of Poets Out Loud, delivered a paper titled “An Ethical Poetics: Denise Levertov’s Poetry & Prose,” at the Associated Writing Program’s annual conference held Feb. 1 in New York City.
Nickolas Kintos, Ph.D., A&S,
visiting assistant professor of mathematics, was the lead author on “A Modeling Comparison of Projection Neuron- and Neuromodulator-Elicited Oscillations in a Central Pattern Generating Network,” an article in the Journal of Computational Neuroscience. In addition, he presented “Feedback to Descending Projection Neurons can Override the Mechanisms Underlying Rhythmic Pattern Generation in the Target Network: A Modeling Study” on Nov. 7 at the Society for Neuroscience Meeting in San Diego, Calif.
Sara L. Lehman, Ph.D., A&S,
assistant professor of Spanish, presented a paper at the annual convention of the Modern Language Association in Chicago, “Baroque Aesthetics and Mexican Colonial Trauma: Las Casas and las iglesias,” which explored the use of literature and architecture as memorial processes following the conquest of the New World.

Magis Professor, associate professor of communications and media management and director of the Donald McGannon Communication Research Center, published an article titled, “Toward a Federal Data Agenda for Communications Policymaking,” in the Fall 2007 issue of CommLaw Conspectus: The Journal of Communications Law & Policy. Professor Napoli also published a chapter on media ratings in the book, Battleground: The Media (Greenwood Press, 2008), as well as a chapter titled “Media Ownership and Diversity Assessment: A Social Science Research Agenda,” in the book Media Ownership: Research and Regulation (Hampton Press, 2008).

associate professor of theology and co-director of the Orthodox Christian Studies Program, published “Orthodoxy, Post-Modernism, and Ecumenism: The Difference that Divine-Human Communion Makes,” in the Journal of Ecumenical Studies (Fall 2007). He was also interviewed on Jan. 11 on “Come Receive the Light” a radio program of the Orthodox Christian Network.
