Jordan Devylder, Ph.D., GSS, associate professor, published “Impact of Police Violence on Mental Health: A Theoretical Framework,” in the American Journal of Public Health (AJPH) with co-authors Lisa Fedina, Ph.D., and Bruce Link, Ph.D. on Sept. 14. This article explores why police violence differs from other types of violence in terms of its impact on health and mental health.

Clara E. Rodriguez, Ph.D, ARTS AND SCIENCES, professor of sociology, won the award for Best Author Video Promoting a Book at the 22nd International Latino Book Awards Ceremony held virtually on Sept. 12.
