Heather Dubrow, Ph.D, ARTS AND SCIENCES, professor of English, Boyd Chair, and director of Poets Out Loud, will be recognized by the Renaissance Society of America in two panels at their annual meeting in Philadelphia, taking place from April 2 to 4, 2020.

Mark Naison, Ph.D., ARTS AND SCIENCES, professor of African American studies and history, had his collection of personal papers acquired by the Brooklyn Historical Society. The collection includes correspondence, typescripts, publications, student work, research files, organizational records, and photographs, dating from 1931 to 2011.

Lance Strate, Ph.D., GABELLI, professor of communication and media studies, delivered the 10th Annual Cardinal Newman Lecture at Manhattan College on Sept. 25 on “The Future of Knowledge, and the Fate of Wisdom, in the Age of Information.”

His article, “‘I Hear You’: Comments on the Sound Practice of Listening” was also published by the Global Listening Centre.
