William Baker, Ph.D., GSE, Journalist-in-Residence at Fordham and Claudio Acquaviva Chair at the Graduate School of Education, published a new book with industrial psychologist Michael O’Malley, Organizations for People (Stanford University Press).

Heidi C. Bordogna, ARTS AND SCIENCES, lecturer of film and television production, screenwriting, and film theory, won Best Horror TV/Webseries pilot script at the Big Apple Film Festival for her one hour drama script, Todd and Lovett. A reading was staged at the festival on Nov. 21.

Monica Rivera-Mindt, Ph.D., ARTS AND SCIENCES, professor of psychology, is the 2020 winner of the Martha Bernal Award for the Advancement of Diversity Training and Education in Clinical Psychology. The award will be presented at the 2020 CUDCP Mid-Winter Meeting, in Austin, Texas on Jan. 17 and 18.

Joshua Schrier, Ph.D., ARTS AND SCIENCES, professor of chemistry and the Kim B. and Stephen E. Bepler Chair, gave a talk on “Accelerating exploratory materials synthesis with machine learning (and robots),” at William Paterson University of New Jersey on Nov. 7.

He also taught a tutorial on Data Management for Materials Science at the Materials Research Society Meeting on Dec. 1. 

He also gave a talk on “How do we ESCALATE lab automation and data collection for RAPID discovery of perovskites?” in the symposium on Automated and Data-Driven Approaches to Materials Development at the Materials Research Society Meeting on Dec. 3.

Allen William Strouse, ARTS AND SCIENCES, adjunct professor of English, rewrote a major work of feminist critical theory, Judith Butler’s Gender Trouble, into rhyme, published by Punctum Books.
