Scott G. Bruce, Ph.D, ARTS AND SCIENCES, professor of history, has been awarded a 2020-21 National Endowment for the Humanities (NEH) Fellowship to pursue his new research initiative, The Lost Patriarchs Project, on the reception of Greek patristics in medieval Europe.

Marc Conte, Ph.D., ARTS AND SCIENCES, associate professor of economics, received a $750,000 grant from the National Science Foundation in Sept. 2019.

Frank Hsu, Ph.D., ARTS AND SCIENCES, Clavius Distinguished Professor of Science, received the 2019 IEEE Region 1 Outstanding Teaching Award for outstanding contributions and leadership in the cybersecurity field. 

Amir Idris, Ph.D., ARTS AND SCIENCES, professor and chair of the department of African & African American Studies, published an article titled “Historicizing Race, Ethnicity, and the Crisis of Citizenship in Sudan and South Sudan” in The Middle East Journal, Volume 73, Number 4, Winter 2019, pp. 591-606.

Daniel Alexander Jones, ARTS AND SCIENCES, associate professor of theatre and visual arts and head of playwriting program, has been named a 2020 TED Fellow. He will be attending the TED2020 Conference on April 20-24 in Vancouver.

Yuko Miki, Ph.D, ARTS AND SCIENCES, associate professor of history and associate director of Latin American and Latinx Studies, has been awarded a 2020-21 National Endowment for the Humanities (NEH) Fellowship for research and writing leading to a book on illegal slavery in the 19th-century Atlantic World.

Clint Ramos, ARTS AND SCIENCES, assistant professor of theatre and visual arts and head of design and production, is a recipient of a United States Artists Fellowship of $50,000.
