“I’m thrilled,” said Rev. Anthony Ciorra, Ph.D., dean of the Graduate School of Religion and Religious Education. “The turnout is terrific and it’s great that there is such a cross-section of ages represented and such a wide variety of people and backgrounds. It’s quite gratifying.”

The daylong event featured a three-part presentation by best-selling writer Richard Rohr, O.F.M., author of Radical Grace: Daily Meditations by Richard Rohr (Saint Anthony Messenger Press, 1995) and Simplicity: The Freedom of Letting Go(Crossroad Publishing Company, 2004). Now in its third year, the convocation was initially geared specifically to alumni and students and drew  about 150 people. Since then, Father Ciorra said, the convocation has been opened to the public and the event has experienced a four-fold increase in attendance.
