Bishop to Share Orthodox Vision of Creation

NEW YORK—His Grace Bishop Kallistos Ware of Diokleia in the Orthodox Archdiocese of Thyateira and Great Britain will present a lecture titled “Ecological Crisis, Ecological Hope: The Orthodox Vision of Creation” onTuesday, April 5, at 6 p.m. in the Fordham University Church on the Rose Hill campus. Bishop Kallistos, the Spalding Lecturer in Eastern Orthodox Studies at Oxford University, is the author of The Orthodox Church. His presentation is part of Fordham’s Orthodoxy in America Lecture Series, which is designed to strengthen the ties that bind the Fordham and Orthodox communities. The series addresses the history, theology, spirituality and worship of the Orthodox tradition as it relates to contemporary American culture.
