Sponsored by the Graduate School of Social Service (GSS) Activism Subcommittee, this event will be a discussion of the A.5109/S.1969 bill, which addresses employing mental health professionals in NYS public schools (i.e., school psychologists and social workers). We will be joined by New York State District 34 assembly member Jessica Gonzàlez-Rojas and her chief of staff Brian Romero, who will explain how this bill can impact New Yorkers’ daily lives and what is being done on a local level to advocate for our communities.
