The day of service is intended to be an introduction to our NYC community for Fordham students seeking short-term, direct service opportunities. The focus of the day is the engagement and interaction between the Fordham students and the Cristo Rey students who are part of their IFTJ delegation. We begin the day with ice-breakers and an onsite reading that will be facilitated by Dean Rob Parmach, and then move into small group discussion. The Bronx is Blooming provides a neutral backdrop and busy work for conversation and learning to take place between the participants. Prayer and reflection in small groups will be an integral part of the experience.
This event is open to alumni, faculty/staff, parents, students, and the public.
