Journalism matters now more than ever. We live in a time in which journalists are under constant attack and where it has become increasingly hard to distinguish fact from fiction. With that in mind, the New York State Associated Press Association, Fordham University’s Department of Communication and Media Studies, and WFUV are investing in the future of journalism with a full-day conference for journalism students, working reporters, and anyone interested in journalism’s vital role in empowering our democracy.

The event will feature a wide array of presenters from some of the nation’s most respected media outlets, including National Public Radio, The New York Times, The Associated Press, and ABC News. Sessions cover a wide range of topics, from the perils of “bothsideism” and covering the 2020 elections, to how to spot fakes and deep fakes and freedom of information tips and tricks.

This is a “must attend” event for aspiring journalists and anyone who cares about the news. The conference is likely to sell out soon. Reserve your spot now. The small fee covers lunch.
