The trade war between the U.S. and China has not given either side much to cheer about. In the United States, the uncertainty over the future trade relationship has caused significant volatility in the stock market and created hardship for American exporters, and at the same time, for China, the trade war has hurt an already slowing economy. Elizabeth Economy, C. V. Starr senior fellow and director for Asia studies at the Council on Foreign Relations and a distinguished visiting fellow at Stanford University’s Hoover Institution, breaks down the situation we’re in.

This event is open to alumni, faculty/staff, parents, students, and the public.
