Join us for a discussion of the hows and whys of white collar crime led by former prosecutor and professor of law at the U. of St. Thomas Law School, Hank Shea, and featuring Columbia Law School graduate, former international finance attorney and ex-offender, Leigh Sprague. In the latter part of his career, Mr. Sprague held executive positions in the employ of Russia’s richest oligarchs. As a result of “going native”, an addiction and resulting poor decisions, Mr. Sprague stole money from a Russian billionaire and was forced to flee Russia for a life on the run. After conviction in the US and serving a 50 month prison sentence, Mr. Sprague now writes and talks about his experience in hopes of helping others learn from his mistakes and avoid stumbling down the same sort of slippery slope.
