Aramark Building Community (ABC) is our global volunteer and philanthropic program dedicated to enriching and nourishing lives by inspiring families to lead healthier lives and empowering youth and adults to succeed at work.
Employees rally together each year during the company’s global day of service to highlight and showcase our year-round commitment to volunteer service. Aramark Building Community Day is an extension of Aramark Building Community and expands our ongoing commitment to enrich and nourish lives in local communities by activating the power of our 270,000 employees.
Aramark at Fordham Lincoln Center is partnering with Covenant House of New York City for Aramark Building Community Day. Aramark associates at Fordham LC will put together snack packs for the youths of Covenant House.
Covenant House is the largest privately funded agency in the Americas providing shelter, food, immediate crisis care, and an array of other services to homeless and runaway youth. In addition to basic needs, Covenant House provides care to homeless youth aged 14–20, designed to transition them into an independent adulthood free from the risk of future homelessness.
The second part of ABC Day will take place onsite at Covenant House. Our Executive Chef will provide a cooking demonstration, and our Dietician will give a presentation on healthy living on a budget to the youths of Covenant House.
