An Afternoon Talk with Author and Hip-Hop Artist Gaël Faye

French-Rwandan author Gaël Faye published his widely-acclaimed debut novel, Small Country, in France in 2016. Since then, the book has been published in 30 languages, including English, and is now available in the United States. After bring featured in The New York Times upon his book’s official release in early July, Gaël Faye will be at Fordham University at Lincoln Center to discuss this first novel and talk further about his relationship to writing, in the context of fiction as well as music.

This free event, open to the public, is presented thanks to the generous support of the Department of Modern Languages and Literatures, the Department of African and African-American Studies, the Program in Comparative Literature, and the Institute of Humanitarian Affairs, as well as the Dean’s Office at Lincoln Center. We are also thankful to Cultural Services of the French Embassy for partnering with Fordham University to make Gaël Faye’s visit possible.
