The Department of African and African American Studies proudly celebrates its 50th anniversary this academic year. This all-day celebration will feature a panel of department founders, a panel of African community leaders in the Bronx, a panel of emerging Fordham scholars, notable Fordham alumni, buffet-style dinner, and a dance party with Fordham’s own DJ Charlie “Hustle” Johnson. Farah Jasmine Griffin, chair of the Department of African and African Diaspora Studies at Columbia University, will deliver a keynote speech.
This event is open to alumni, faculty/staff, parents, and students.
