Presented by Natalia Imperatori-Lee, Ph.D., professor of religious studies, Manhattan College, this lecture explores how undervalued narratives from marginalized communities can and should inform our understanding of the church’s identity and mission. Drawing from historical, demographic, and artistic sources, Professor Imperatori-Lee will show how women are vital not only to the life of the church at present, but how women are also indispensable to the work of imagining a more inclusive, more just church for future generation.
This event is open to alumni, faculty/staff, parents, students, and the public.
