Last spring, the Graduate School of Business Administration (GBA) launched its Business and the City discussion series, taking inspiration from Hurricane Sandy to broach the subject of physical infrastructure.

On Tuesday, Oct. 15, GBA presents the second of its discussion series with “Growing and Leveraging Tech Disruption,” a conference also focused on infrastructure, but within the digital realm. As business culture reinvents itself in response to disruptive technologies, fields as varied as transportation, retail, and education are all being affected. The conference will focus on those areas, and more, through the prism of new digital products and services.

Tuesday, Oct. 15
8:00a.m. to 2:30p.m.

David Gautschi, Ph.D., dean of GBA, describes the series’ goals by evoking Charles Dickens to describe a tale of two cities: “that of our collective memory and that of how we envision it.” He said the series will continue to focus on future possibilities for New York City and the role that business can play in the city’s evolving history.
