Polaroid Stories Opens Fordham Mainstage Theatre Season

Naomi Iizuka’s Polaroid Stories, inspired by Ovid’s Metamorphoses and interviews with young prostitutes and street kids, opened Fordham University Theatre Company’s Mainstage season on Thursday, Oct. 12. The production continues this week with performances in the Pope Auditorium, Lowenstein Center, onThursday, Oct. 19, Friday, Oct. 20 and Saturday, Oct. 21. The New York Times said of Iizuka’s play, “Greek gods are reincarnated as hustlers, prostitutes and addicts on a filthy city pier to confer a kind of epic grandeur on the degradation of life on the street.”

Mainstage productions are sponsored by Fordham College at Lincoln Center, Department of Theatre & Visual Arts. Pope Auditorium is located in Lowenstein Center, at Fordham’s Lincoln Center campus, 113 W. 60th St., New York, N.Y.
