Fordham head coach Jeff Neubauer came oh-so-close to becoming the first men’s basketball head coach at Rose Hill to win in his Fordham debut since Bob Quinn in 1986 as the Rams trimmed a 17-point deficit to just one three times in the final three minutes tonight. But Fordham would get no closer to UT Arlington, falling to the Mavericks, 77-72, in the College Park Center in the season opener for both schools.
