Conor Oberst and Friends played to a sold-out house at the Beacon Theatre on Dec. 8 at the 10th annual Holiday Cheer for FUV benefit concert.

Joining Oberst and his band for the nearly three-hour show were veteran New York singer-songwriter Suzanne Vega; former 10,000 Maniacs frontwoman Natalie Merchant; the acoustic, confessional, and angelic-in-white Laura Marling; The Lone Bellow; The Felice Brothers; and Oberst’s bandmate and solo performer Jonathan Wilson.

Mutually admiring of one another and of WFUV, Fordham’s public radio station, the performers concluded with a moving rendition of John Fogerty’s anthem, “Have You Ever Seen the Rain?” Read the full recap here.
