The New York Post profiled the “tough” Fordham men’s basketball team today in their story “Fordham sets sights on first NCAA Tournament in more than 30 years.”

“Fordham has been winning with toughness,” the article says. “Eight of its victories have been by single digits and it has allowed 80 points or more just four times. The Rams force opponents out of their comfort zone, La Salle coach Fran Dunphy said. They take away their opponents’ strengths by overplaying or double-teaming stars, by making the secondary options beat them.

“‘That’s our identity. That’s a bunch of pride, heart and effort.’ said redshirt junior guard Kyle Rose, Fordham’s top defender. ‘We want to make the plays other teams aren’t willing to make. We’re Bronx-built. The [coaches]instilled that in us.'”

Watch the Rams square off against the University of Rhode Island at Rose Hill Gym today, Feb. 25, at 2:30 p.m.! The game will be broadcast on the USA Network and on YouTube.
