Tom Beaudoin, Ph.D., GRE,
associate professor of practical theology, led a presentation, “Contemporary Theologies of Ministry for Pastoral Workers,” and a panel, “My Life is Calling Me: Young Adults Speak” in March at the Los Angeles Religious Education Congress.

Charles C. Camosy, Ph.D., A&S,
assistant professor of theology, spoke at an interreligious panel discussion titled “Children of Abraham: Jewish, Christian and Muslim Views on Stem Cell Research and Shaping Public Policy,” on March 17 at the Louis Finkelstein Institute for Religious and Social Studies of The Jewish Theological Seminary.

Gerald Cattaro, Ed.D., GSE,
chair of the Division of Educational Leadership Administration and Policy and executive director of the Center for Catholic School Leadership and Faith-Based Education, was honored on March 25 by the Catholic Education Foundation at the Faith-Based Education’s gala event.

Leonard Cassuto, Ph.D., A&S,
professor of English, discussed the book he co-edited, The Cambridge Companion to Baseball(Cambridge University Press, 2011), on March 31 at a book reading at Borders Columbus Circle.

Gloria Durka, Ph.D., GRE,
director of the doctoral program in religious education, addressed a plenary session on “Globalization and Localization: Theory, Problems and Practices of Religious Conversion in Europe,” in February at the University of Latvia. Her paper was titled “Inter-Religious Education and Conversion in a Divided World: Perspectives from the United States.”

Mary Ann Forgey, Ph.D., GSS,
associate professor of social work, was the keynote speaker on March 14 at the Fordham GSS alumni conference, “Being Responsive: Serving Veterans Today.”

Robert Hume, Ph.D., A&S,
assistant professor of political science, received the 2010 Alpha Sigma Nu Book Award for How Courts Impact Federal Administrative Behavior (Routledge Press, 2010), his contribution to the study of how court decisions affect federal agencies.

Philip M. Napoli, Ph.D., BUS,
professor of communications and media management and director of the Donald McGannon Communication Research Center, published a chapter titled “Ratings and Audience Measurement” in the New Handbook of Media Audiences (Wiley, 2011). He delivered a presentation titled “Data Politics” at the Center for Information Technology Policy at Princeton.

Francis Petit, Ed.D., BUS,
associate dean and director of executive MBA programs, presented “Pricing Executive MBA Programs: Strategies for Senior Management in Business Schools,” on Jan. 4 at the Global Conference on Business and Finance Research in Nevada.

Mary G. Powers, Ph.D., A&S,
professor emeritus of sociology, moderated a panel titled “Likely Future Policy Options” at a conference, “Immigration Reform with a Special Reference to New York City,” on March 3 at the Levin Institute.

Kieran Scott, Ed.D., GRE,
associate professor of religion and religious education, gave a plenary address titled, “The Roman Catholic Dilemma: Teaching or Commanding Sexual Embodiment?” on March 17 at the Annual Mid-Atlantic American Academy of Religion meeting in New Brunswick, N.J.
