assistant professor of art history, has co-edited Between Text and Territory: Survey and Excavation in the Terra of San Vicenzo al Volturno (Archaeological Monographs of the British School in Rome, 2006).

Robert J. Brent, Ph.D., A&S,
professor of economics, has published “Does female education prevent the spread of HIV-AIDS in Sub-Saharan Africa?” in Applied Economics.

Mary Beth Combs, Ph.D., A&S,
associate professor of economics, has published “Cui Bono? The 1870 British Married Women’s Property Act, Bargaining Power, and the Distribution of Resources within Marriage” in Feminist Economics.

Su-Je Cho, Ph.D., GSE,
assistant professor of education, has been appointed to the editorial board of the journal, Focus on Autism and Other Developmental Disabilities.

Judith M. Kubicki, C.S.S.F., Ph.D., A&S,
assistant professor of theology, was elected vice president of the North American Academy of Liturgy at its annual meeting in January. She will assume the presidency of the organization in January of 2008.

Joseph G. Ponterotto, Ph.D., A&S,
professor of counseling and coordinator of the Mental Health Counseling Program, has been selected to receive the Janet E. Helms Award for Mentoring and Scholarship by Teachers College, Columbia University.

Brian Rose, Ph.D., A&S,
professor of communication and media studies, conducted a series of one-on-one interviews with Sacha Baron Cohen, writer and star of Borat: Cultural Learnings of America for Make Benefit Glorious Nation of Kazakhstan; Wendy Finerman, producer of The Devil Wears Prada; and Bill Nighy, who was featured in Notes on a Scandal. The interviews were part of the New York Times sixth annual Arts Leisure Weekend in January.

Emily Rosenbaum, Ph.D., A&S,
professor of sociology and associate chair of the Department of Sociology and Anthropology, has co-authored The Housing Divide: How Generations of Immigrants Fare in New York’s Housing Market(New York University Press, 2006) with Samantha Friedman (Northeastern University).

Gwendolyn Alexander Tedeschi, Ph.D., A&S,
assistant professor of economics, has published “Here Today, Gone Tomorrow: Can Dynamic Incentives Make Microfinance More Flexible?” in the Journal of Development Economics.

Chun Zhang, Ph.D., GSE,
associate professor of education, has been invited to serve on the grant review panel for the National Institute on Disability and Rehabilitation Research.
