Rabbi Gellman will deliver the keynote address at the second annual liturgy and dinner in which those who have made contributions to the mission of GRE and the Catholic Church will be recognized. Both Rabbi Gellman and Father Hartman will receive the Gaudium et Spes Award, which is given to those who have made a significant contribution to the church and society. Until recently, the two co-hosted the popular program that presented current events and issues from a religious viewpoint.

“We are honoring the God Squad this year for their significant efforts in furthering Jewish-Christian relations and promoting inter-religious dialogue,” said Anthony J. Ciorra, Ph.D., dean of GRE. Among those being honored with the Sapientia et Doctrina award are Joan Curtin, C.N.D., director of catechetical ministries for the Archdiocese of New York. In all, GRE will present awards to 17 people.
