Internationally-renowned and award-winning filmmaker Olivier Assayas will be at Fordham on October 7 for a masterclass moderated by guest speaker Dr. Margaret C. Flinn, Associate Professor of French and Film Studies at The Ohio State University. Olivier Assayas will share his life-long passion for cinema, first as a film critic for Les Cahiers du Cinéma and since the late 1980s as a filmmaker whose career has been defined by bold experimentations with genres and his collaborations with a wide array of actors, particularly Maggie Cheung, Juliette Binoche, and more recently Kristen Stewart. Join us for a free public event sponsored by the Department of Modern Languages and Literatures in collaboration with Unifrance and IFC Films.
