Loyola Chair Lecture: Disputed Last Words: The Early Transmission of Jesus’ Prayer in Luke 23:34a

Speaker: Rev. Dean P. Bechard, S.J., St. Ignatius Loyola Chair

Fr. Béchard is professor at the Pontifical Biblical Institute in Rome, but is teaching in the theology department for the Spring 2017 semester. He was a member of the theology department at Fordham from 1996 through 2006. Fr. Béchard specializes in New Testament History and Literature. He is the author of Paul Outside the Walls: A Study of Luke’s Socio-Geographical Universalism in Acts 14:8-20 and The Scripture Documents: An Anthology of Official Catholic Teachings.
