Fordham University’s Graduate School of Business Administration (GBA) will celebrate its 40th anniversary with a reception at 6 p.m. on Friday, May 29 at the Lincoln Center campus.

The event, set for Robert Moses Plaza, will also honor the MBA Consulting and Global Professional MBA programs, as well as the 10th anniversary of the Executive MBA (EMBA) program.

GBA opened in 1969 as part of the redevelopment of Lincoln Center and now has more than 14,000 alumni.

A companion campus was developed in Westchester County, and in 1998, GBA began offering a Fordham MBA at Peking University in Beijing. The Beijing international MBA program (BiMBA) was the first of its kind to be approved by the Chinese government.

The EMBA began in 1998 with 18 students. Last September, it was ranked 25th internationally by The Wall Street Journal. Two months later, the Journal named it one of the best values of all American EMBA programs.

“While the rankings are great recognition, what really distinguishes our program is our ‘EMBA community,'” said Francis Petit, Ed.D., assistant dean and director of executive programs at GBA. “We make it a top priority to recruit dynamic, professionally diverse prospective students who are not only enthusiastic, but who also have a wonderful spirit.”
