Softball Nine members of the Fordham softball team received 2006 All-Atlantic 10 Conference honors, including outfielder Katie Davis (FCRH ’06), outfielder Krystle Henry, now a Fordham senior, and second baseman Gina Capardi, now a sophomore. The Rams posted a 37-23 record in 2006, advancing to the Atlantic 10 Softball Championship in Ambler, Pa., where they lost, 4-1, to the University of Massachusetts.

Basketball Former All-Atlantic 10 guard Jermaine Anderson (CBA ’06), who finished his Fordham career last winter with 1,178 points (17th on the Rams’ all-time scoring list), is playing for his hometown Toronto Raptors in a National Basketball Association-sanctioned summer league in Las Vegas.

Football Former Fordham star wide receiver Javarus Dudley (CBA ’04) capped a successful first season with the Arena Football League’s (AFL) Orlando Predators last May, when he was named to the 2006 AFL All-Rookie Team. He signed a two-year contract with the Predators in June.

Swimming For the second straight year, the men’s and women’s swimming and diving squads received academic honors, as both were named Academic All-America Teams by the Collegiate Swimming Coaches Association of America. The women’s team recorded a 3.26 team grade point average, while the men earned a 3.09 average, which ranked among the top 30 in the NCAA Division I.

Soccer Forward Haley Lentsch, a Fordham senior, and freshman defender/midfielder Lauren Bustos were named to the 2006 Atlantic 10 Preseason All-Conference and All-Rookie Women’s Soccer teams, respectively, as voted upon by the league’s head coaches. This marks the fourth straight season that the Fordham women’s soccer team has a preseason All-Rookie Team selection, and the second time in three seasons that a Ram is on the preseason All-Conference team.
