0

Alumnus Bob Papa (CBA ’86), the radio play-by-play voice of the New York Giants on WFAN (660 AM), will be announcing his second Super Bowl this Sunday for the New York area broadcast.

Papa, who has been the radio voice of the Giants since 1995, is a former protege of distinguished sportscaster Marty Glickman, who conducted weekly sportscasting seminars at Fordham University while Papa was a student. At the time Glickman was the  broadcast coach for aspiring play-by-players, and Papa was able to gain broadcasting experience at Fordham’s public radio station, WFUV (90.7 FM).

Today Papa hosts a variety of Giants television programs on the New York television airwaves, a Sirius Radio program, and delivers the play-by-play for HBO’s Boxing After Dark Series, and NBC Sports Olympic. His Super Bowl play-by-play broadcast can be heard on WFAN Sports Radio (660 AM) at 6:30 p.m. when Super Bowl XLII between the New England Patriots and the New York Giants is scheduled to kick off. The broadcast can also be heard at www.wfan.com.

Papa gave his first Super Bowl broadcast in 2001, when the Giants played the Baltimore Ravens.
